Personal Data and Privacy Protection Statement


1.1 At Living Octave, we strive to deliver outstanding programmes, services, and experiences. To help us do so, we value your connection and involvement with us. We take the privacy of your information seriously and respect the rights you have under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”). Living Octave will collect, use and disclose your personal data in accordance with the PDPA.

1.2 This Statement explains our practices regarding the personal information we collect from you or about you on this site, when you visit one of our properties or through your involvement with us in other ways, whether through written or verbal communications with us.

1.3 By interacting with us, submitting information to us or signing up for any programmes or services offered by us, you agree and consent to Living Octave, as well as our affiliated companies (including IMC Property Development Suzhou Pte. Ltd., Suzhou IMC Property Development Co Ltd and their subsidiaries) and our respective personnel and agents, collecting, using and disclosing your personal data in the manner set out in this Statement.

Collection and Use of Personal Data

2.1 Personal data may be collected from you when you use our website, for example, from any emails or other correspondences that you send to this website, personal information that you voluntarily provide such as your name, company name, address, email address and contact telephone numbers. Personal data may also be collected from you when you voluntarily provide such data to us for specified purposes, e.g. registration for our programmes and services.

2.2 We will use and/or disclose personal data for purposes as notified to you or as permitted by law, which includes the following purposes:

  • to respond to your requests and queries and to gather feedback;
  • to advertise and market to you our programmes and/or services, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes;
  • to manage the administrative and business operations of AITIA;
  • to develop and improve the programmes and services we provide you, and where relevant, personalise specific programmes and services in response to your requests and needs;
  • applications for employment;
  • where required by law or by judicial or government investigations;
  • any other purposes for which we have obtained consent, or for which you may be deemed to have provided consent.

2.3 We do not, and will not, sell, rent, lease or release your personal data to third parties. Your personal data will be retained for as long it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it is collected or for business or legal purposes, or in accordance with applicable laws.

Protection of Personal Data

3.1 As no Internet-based service is completely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to us electronically; any such transmission of data is at your own risk. After we have received your personal data, we will take reasonable efforts to put in place appropriate procedures and security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

3.2 We will similarly take reasonable efforts to ensure that the personal data in our possession is destroyed or anonymised as soon as (i) the purpose for which that personal data was collected is no longer being served by the retention of such data; and (ii) retention is no longer necessary for any other legal or business purposes.

3.3 Sharing data cross-border may be essential to the programmes and services that we provide to you, in order that you receive the same high-quality service wherever we operate. As a result, we may, subject to applicable laws, transfer personal data collected from you in connection with the programmes and services that we provide to you outside Singapore. Nonetheless, we will take reasonable efforts to ensure that the transferred personal data shall be given a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided in Singapore.
