Visiting Suzhou

Suzhou (苏州, Sūzhōu) is synonymous with high culture and elegance, and generations of artists, scholars, writers and high society in China were drawn by its exquisite art forms and the delicate beauty of its gardens, canals and bridges.

SANGHA Retreat is located on the serene peninsula of Yangcheng Lake in Suzhou. Located approximately 60 miles west of Shanghai, the city sits in China’s Jiangsu Province, at the center of the Yangtze River Delta. For international travelers, the city is best accessed via either of Shanghai’s two airports, which are connected to Shanghai by high-speed bullet train.
